He was a martial arts student of Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming and Kwan Sai Hung. He taught Tai Chi to private students and classes throughout the area –Dance Technics in Merrimac, and the Fitness Factory in Newburyport, but he especially loved working with the elderly; in Chelsea and Newton, as well as at Nichols Village in Groveland. He also practiced meditation at the Insight Meditation Center in West Newbury.
