At the age of 21, she came to the United States to live and she became a U.S. citizen. She lived briefly with her aunt and uncle in Andover, MA, before breaking out on her own. Cambria was employed in the hotel and restaurant business her entire working career. Among the establishments who employed her were the former Backstreet Restaurant in Andover, Jimmy’s II in Methuen and the 99 Restaurant in Haverhill, where Cambria spent the majority of her career.
An avid sports enthusiast, he enjoyed playing baseball and basketball. He was born in Haverhill, November 10, 1938, son of the late Alexander and Bertha Massie. Mr. Massie was educated in the Haverhill school system, graduating from Haverhill High class of 1956. Mr. Robert Massie, 68, of Georgetown and formerly of Haverhill, died Sunday evening at the Merrimack Valley Hospital, Haverhill. Lt. Commander Frank J. Woidyla, 84, of Haverhill, died Thursday afternoon at the Lawrence General Hospital, Lawrence. Mr. Daniel MacLeod, Jr., 65, of Haverhill, died Saturday afternoon at the Hannah Duston Nursing Center, Haverhill.

Muriel served in the Navy during World War II as an aviation machinist. While in the service, she and her twin sister Marcia sang with saxophonist, singer and band leader Tex Beneke. Following the war, Muriel worked for many years as a French cord-turner in the local shoe industry. Born in Richwood, West Virginia on March 29, 1947, Stanley was the son of the late James and Nadine Blankenship.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to her Funeral Friday morning at 11 am at the H.L. At an early age her family moved to Georgetown, where she attended the Georgetown Public Schools and was a l979 graduate of Georgetown High School. Mrs. Marion Estelle Taplin-Orio, 100, of Haverhill and formerly of Lowell, died Tuesday evening at Country Rehabilitation and Nursing, Newburyport.
For several decades, she resided in Methuen, moving to Newton in 2001. She was educated in Jamaica Plain and was employed as a paralegal secretary for Joseph K. Mackey for many years. She loved her family and enjoyed crocheting, gardening and cooking. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family with burial in New Evergreen Cemetery, Westport, CT. She and her late husband co-founded the former Haverhill Answering Service in 1959, which was located on Washington St., Marsh Ave, and Cedar St. After her retirement in 1977 her sons continued the business.
She was born in Lawrence, Nov. 20, 1931, daughter of the late Robert and Alice Wilson. He enjoyed music, black and white westerns, and traveling to the White Mountains where he stayed in the penthouse. Mr. William K. Cotton, 72, of Haverhill, died Sunday afternoon at his home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a Graveside Service Fri at 11 am in Linwood Cemetery. At an early age his family moved to Marblehead MA, where he earned his first income as a young boy on the shores of Marblehead repairing fishermen’s nets, a trade taught to him by the local fishermen.
At the family’s request there will be a private Funeral Mass at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Three Rivers, MA with burial to follow in the Bethany Cemetery, Monson, MA. Mrs. Schena was a former member of St. Rita’s Church and St. John the Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, cooking, crocheting and caring for her grandchildren.
Thelma attended the Haverhill school system, and was employed at Haviland Nursing Home and later Whittier Rehab in Haverhill as a certified nursing assistant, retiring in 1993. Barbara was a member of Sacred Hearts Church, and enjoyed dancing, crafts and spending time with her grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Dorothea Carrier, who died in 1995 and is survived by a niece Sandra K. Parsons of Woodstock, GA and a nephew John R. Campbell of Seabrook, NH.
